Sign and Share Club are running British Sign Language (BSL) classes.

Are you interested in learning British Sign Language (BSL)?

Sign and Share Club offers nationally recognised and accredited training courses in partnership with Signature; they are a UK awarding organisation accredited by Ofqual (the Office of the Regulator for Qualifications and Examinations) providing BSL courses for over 40 years.

We are now taking bookings for classes starting in September 2026

Level 1 Courses

This 1 year course (32 weeks) is an accrediated course through Signature.

The course covers 3 modules

• 101 Introduction to British Sign Language
• 102 Conversational British Sign Language
• 103 Communicate in British Sign Language about everyday life

The course costs £525 including exam fees

10 week Introduction to British Sign Language

This course focuses on basic BSL language skills for everyday interactions in everyday situations including:

 

Meeting people

Numbers

Weather

Transport

Directions

Fingerspelling.

 

The course is designed for complete beginners. The cost is £130. There are currently 3 free spaces available for children who are deaf, or who have a family member who is deaf, if they attend with a paying adult.

There is an option to sit an exam (module 101) at the end for an additional fee (£20)

Please note: This course will run alongside the Level 1 course, as both follow the same curriculum. After the 10-week course, you can continue learning BSL by joining the rest of the Level 1 course for an additional fee.
